"Friction Called Quest" by Lorenzo's Music (the fourth for a movie soundtrack project) is a laid-back drum and bass shuffle groove featuring a unique guitar line, bouncing piano, baritone sax, and vocals in a punk blues and lofi rock fusion style. The inspiration for the lyrics came from a poem called "All that time," by May Swenson.
We recorded this video of the song live from our recording studio using, Ardour, OBS, Kdenlive, and Ubuntu Studio a computer operating system for musicians and artists.
