Mystic Stylez 8C - Excerpt from DAVE from Polished Project on Vimeo.
I was happy to see our song “We all fall down” being used in this video of climber Dave MacLeod on Vimeo. Then saw that it was also mentioned in a post on the BBC News website!
Feel like I should make a 2 birds/1 STONE pun here. rimshot
Not sure if the song is going to be part of the short film he will be showing around Mountain festivals but if he does that will be 2 festival films we’ve been involved in this year!
Just got the screener for the movie “The Longer Day Of Happiness” that has our song You Got to Feel It Tonight in it. Pretty psyched to check it out!
We’ve been working on a live set up where we could use the sounds and effects that are more like what is actually on our albums. So here is a test run of our song Voomp Boomp.
Rob created a triggered drum set mounting them inside and replacing the heads with mesh. We run these through a midi brain that plays sound samples in Renoise on an ASUS netbook running AVLinux. And all the other instruments and vocals run direct through a mixing board into ProTools, with the effects we used from the original recording. We were pretty happy with the outcome.

Just a quick question…
We were talking at practice the other night about how in recent years a lot of our album downloads and purchases have been coming from Europe. And we thought wouldn’t it be great if we could go to there and play these places even if it’s just for a week long tour?
So here is our question:
Would it be crazy for us to start a fan funded campaign to tour Europe?
Let us know in the comments below.
We’ve got a new video for a song we performed last year at an event called “Local Love Fest” where bands perform songs by other local artists.
And one of the songs we chose to do was “H-Bomb” by The Skintones.

And this video is now available on our Cull.TV channel.

So this video showed up on our feed and I was confused at first. Now don’t get me wrong, I was amazed at all the crazy stuff that these guys were doing on Pogo-Sticks but was still wondering why this video showed up. Then about 30 seconds into it, the music changed and they were playing our song “You Got To Feel It Tonight”!
Now that’s pretty cool. Suddenly I feel like my dream as a kid, to be one of the bands on the old Santa Cruz skateboard video “Wheels Of Fire” has been fulfilled in a way.
